The Yeovil Town Football Club Disabled Supporters Association originated a number of years ago and is still going strong.
Our objectives are...
1. To represent disabled supporters of YTFC in their dealings with the club
2. To assist in raising funds for the purpose of improving facilities for disabled people at Huish Park stadium
3. To recommend and instigate measures to improve the matchday experience for disabled people at Huish Park stadium
4. To encourage and organise travel to away matches by their members
5. To encourage and organise social events for their members.
The DSA committee have been very active in many areas including being a programme sponsor, a match ball sponsor as well as funding match day mascots.
An ever increasing number of clubs are setting up a DSA and most have also become members of Level Playing Field.
YTFC DSA is a member and has implemented a procedure whereby we contact ALL visiting clubs to Huish Park (irrespective of them having a DSA or not) and offer assistance to any disabled members of that club concerning their visit to Huish Park.
We have a large number of disabled parking slots at Huish Park which are all allocated to our members who pay a discounted season fee of £40. There is also a 'Disabled Supporters Compound' where disabled parking slots can be reserved by away supporters. We also have a number of disabled parking slots which are available on a first come first served basis.
Membership is £10 per year to any disabled supporter.
